Qualifying for the 2027 WDAA Western Dressage World Championship Show

Qualifying Periods

• In person WDAA Recognized Shows: Aug 26, 2026 – Aug 9, 2027
• Approved ONLINE WDAA Recognized Shows: Sept 15, 2026 – Aug 9, 2027

Approved Online Shows Include:

• WDAA Online International Challenge Show
• WDAA State Affiliate designated online World Championship qualifying shows
  • Important: Showing at the 2026 WDAA World Show does not qualify a horse for 2027.

Qualifying Requirements

General Rule

• The horse must qualify at every level it will compete in at the World Show.

Score Requirements

• Introductory – Basic: Must earn 64% or higher at one qualifying in-person or approved online show.
• Level 1 – Level 6: Must earn 62% or higher at one qualifying in-person or approved online show.
• Freestyle: Must earn 65% or higher in a freestyle class at one qualifying in-person or approved online show.

Classes That Do Not Require Scores

If the horse has already qualified at the correct levels above, it does not need scores for:

• Suitability
• Hack
• Equitation

Exception – Exceptional Riders

(Therapeutic & Physically Challenged divisions)

• The rider qualifies with a 60% or higher at one qualifying in-person or approved online show.
