Qualifying

2026 WDAA World Show Qualification Requirements:

  • The horse qualifies.
  • The horse must qualify in every level that it will show at the World Show.
  • For Introductory – Basic levels, the horse must earn 64% or higher, in at least 1 WDAA in person or online WDAA Recognized show.
  • For Level 1-5 the horse must earn 62% or higher, in at least 1 WDAA in person or online WDAA Recognized show.
  • For any Freestyle the horse must earn 65% or higher, in at least 1 WDAA in person or online WDAA Recognized show. RIDERS ARE LIMITED TO 1 FREESTYLE AT THE WORLD SHOW; Introductory – Basic level Freestyle (Wednesday night), Level 1-5 Costume Freestyle (Thursday night) OR, Level 1-5 Freestyle (Friday night).

If the horse has qualified in the appropriate levels by the requirements above, there is no need to qualify for rail, equitation or Physically Challenged classes. There is no qualification requirement for Therapeutic Riding classes.

The qualification period begins Wednesday, August 27th 2025, and ends Sunday, August 23rd 2026. Showing in the 2025 WDAA World Championship Horse Show does NOT qualify you for 2026.


**NEW USEF WESTERN DRESSAGE MEDAL CLASS QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT**

USEF member riders may qualify in a Western Dressage Seat On The Rail, Western Dressage Horsemanship or Combined Equitation class at a USEF licensed show. The final will be conducted in the format of a Combined Equitation class, with both an On The Rail section and a Horsemanship pattern, each of which totals 50% of the rider’s final score.

  • The qualifying period for the 2026 Final begins on October 1st, 2025, and runs through August 31st, 2026.
  • The Qualified Riders list will be published by USEF after the beginning of the Qualifying Period. 

**NEW 2026 USEF MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS**

  • Riders, Owners, Trainers and/or Coaches must have an active USEF competing membership.
  • Riders 18 years of age and over, Owners, Trainers and/or Coaches must have current USEF SafeSport training.

OR obtain a USEF Show Pass ($85). A show pass can only be used for one show a year.
